my favorite stores

i wanted to share some of my favorite stores so you can get a feel for what my closet looks like.

Zara--my all time favorite store is Zara. their pieces range from high-fashion to casual chic to sexy conservative; there's really something for everyone. you can find something to wear for almost every occasion. plus, the prices are reasonable (very important when you're on a budget like me).

boutiques in my area: the boutiques in my area (The Dressing Room, Habit, Cheap n' Chic, Atik, Blush, Studio lx, etc...) all have great pieces that are priced pretty well. one thing i love about shopping at these boutiques is that they get new items in every week. most of them have a Facebook page where they post pictures of the new pieces. this way i know there will be things i like before i go to the store.

those are the stores i shop at most. i also love shopbop.com but can really only buy things when they're on sale (like the striped maxi dress i posted yesterday). i created an account on shopbop and favorite all the items i like. when they go on sale shopbop sends you an email. it's great! i love online shopping but usually end up returning the things i buy because they don't fit right, particularly bottoms.

speaking of online shopping, i ordered some things from Zara and they should come in today:

something to look forward to after work (:

hello!

hi there! i'm starting this blog to have a place to post pictures of one of the things that makes me happiest, CLOTHES! i know it sounds superficial, but i just love to shop! although my favorite thing to shop for is clothes, i also enjoy going to the grocery store and CVS/Walgreens (don't even get me started on european pharmacies). in the past couple of months i've come to realize that i'm really a clothes girl. some people love to buy shoes, others have a weakness for purses but i just really like clothes. i could wear the same basic purse with every outfit, everyday and i wouldn't mind. same goes for shoes. i own a couple pairs of heels, wedges, flats and sandals that are basic and can be paired with just about anything. i don't own any crazy shoes; it's just not my style. if i had to describe my style i guess i would say it's casual chic.

i just got this maxi dress from shopbop in the mail today. i can't wait to wear it! i think i'll wear it to work tomorrow (i work at a children's clothing boutique).

this is what i would pair the dress with:

casual maxi

i decided to start this blog when i realized the dress was coming in today. i told my best guy friend "one of my online orders comes in today! i can't wait!" and he responded "it's so funny how clothes makes you so happy." in the future, i will be posting pictures of my outfits, items on my wish list and street style that catches my eye.
